Girl, Same

Hey, what's up, hello.

Welcome to Girl, Same.

We created this blog for three reasons:

1. Honestly, we are two twenty-something sisters (Hope and Paige) and creating a blog is just what you do when you are a millennial. We’re your typical sisters who bicker and argue and make fun of each other, then turn around and post sappy Instagram posts about how much we love one another. We’re total opposites in many ways (Hope texts A LOT, Paige doesn’t text back A LOT...Hope loves Taylor Swift, Paige does NOT, etc.) but we’ve developed a sarcastic and silly sense of humor that we’ve leaned on to build each other up and get through the bumps -whether they are awkward or dramatic or sad - and we’d love to share that with you.

2. We wanted to share our thoughts, feelings and experiences with you and break the stereotypes that we have lived a perfect life. We have been very blessed throughout our lives, but many people think we live picture-perfect lives with things handed to us without struggle. That’s not true! We are real people, with real struggles, with real heartbreaks and real accomplishments.

3. We also want to connect with and inspire you through our struggles and experiences. We want you to read and say “girl, same!” when we share our tough times and our honest thoughts on the things we go through and the things going on around us. It’s our belief that we feel responsible to share the struggles in our lives so that others can find hope in their own situations, and we want you to know that things will get better, that you will get through the tough times and that you are stronger than you think you are.

But we promise every post won’t be a Shonda Rimes-worthy sappy monologue. We’re super fun, we promise! We love to laugh, we love to have fun, and we love to joke around. We love pop culture (well Hope does), we love cheesy reality TV, we love puppies, we love wine (and beer), we love working out (more like complaining about it), we just enjoy life. We’re excited to share our ideas with you and we hope they make you say “girl, same!”

Stay tuned for more...thanks for joining us on this journey.
